ADSL

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber line (ADSL) is a DSL technology. It's an 'Always On' high speed broadband technology that operates on existing copper telephone lines. The asymmetric nature of the data transmission implies that most of the channel bandwidth is allocated from the down-streaming of data with a relatively small portion of the channel bandwidth allocated for up-streaming. In other words, it is devoting most of its duplex bandwidth to the downstream direction whereby users receive data at higher speeds where only a small portion is available for upstream as it has been proven that users requests 'Upstream' are small and require less bandwidth.
Using digital coding, the ADSL modems provide more capacity out of the phone line without interference with the regular phone usage. In effect, a user can talk on the phone, send fax and surf the web simultaneously.

Dialup

The Dialup follows a simple procedure where users use the regular telephone line to connect to the Internet. The user makes a telephone call to a service provider and a two-way communication is established between the dialing computer and an access port to the Internet.
The Instant Internet Dialup service is an easy and cost effective service where the users connect immediately without having to pay an upfront periodic subscription fee. It’s a pay-as-you-go type of service.

Leased Lines

Ideal for medium and large-sized organizations, Leased Line is a dedicated private connection to the Internet that gives a direct connection from the network into a Legend Communications Point of Presence (POP), which provides a fast connection out onto the Internet and ensures uninterrupted, private voice and data transfer. Leased Line offers fully 1:1 contented, synchronous Internet access at incredibly fast speeds.

Voice over IP (VoIP)

VoIP stands for "Voice over Internet Protocol", which is a technology that allows you to make phone calls using your Broadband Internet connection instead of your regular land-line or mobile phone service. It is also referred to as Voice over IP, Broadband phone, Internet phone service and Digital Voice.
VoIP is simple and is for everyone. It doesn't matter if the person you are calling has VoIP or not, this is all taken care of by SAMA Telecom servers. To use this service, you still simply have to pick up your regular phone, dial a number and talk.
The only requirement for this technology is a high speed Internet connection, such as ADSL, since the service is based on broadband Internet communication. VoIP requires a speed of up to 90Kbps depending on the voice quality. This is a higher speed than dial-up Internet so a broadband Internet connection is a basic requirement.

IP-VPN

IP-VPN is a private communications network that uses a public network (usually the Internet) to connect remote sites or users together.
Instead of using a dedicated, real-world connection such as leased line, a VPN uses "virtual" connections routed through the Internet from the company's private network to the remote site or employee.
VPN message traffic is carried on public networking infrastructure using standard protocols, or over a service provider's network providing VPN service guarded by well-defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) between the VPN customer and the VPN service provider.

Wholesale VoIP Termination

VoIP termination is a service provided by SAMA Telecom to other service providers to start up, add to or extend the reach of their networks. SAMA Telecom can typically terminate traffic at a lower cost than traditional time-division multiplexing (TDM) routes.
A wholesale VoIP termination setup usually includes a billing server, several gateways, a geographically tied presence with high-speed Internet access, support for H.323 and SIP protocols. The gateway is responsible for converting data packets to voice signals and vice versa.
